* Shoulder abduction and adduction: Stand straight up. Hold a wand or stick with both hands. Your palms are facing away from your body. Rest wand against the front of your thighs. Keep your elbows straight. Use one arm to push other arm out to the side and up as high as you can. Hold extreme position for 5 - 15 seconds. Do 5 - 15 times.

* Scapular active range of motion: Stand up straight. Shrug your shoulders up and hold for 5 - 15 seconds. Then squeeze your shoulder blades back and together holding for 5 - 15 seconds. Then pull your blades downward. Relax. Do sequence 5 - 15x.

* Pectoralis stretch: Stand between a doorway or a corner with both arms placed on the wall slightly over your head. Gradually lean forward until you feel a slight stretch in the front of your shoulders. Hold stretched position for 10 to 30 seconds. Do 2 - 3x.

* Biceps stretch: Face a wall standing about 6” away. Raise arm out to your side placing the thumb side of your hand against the wall with your palm down. Make sure to keep your elbow straight. Turn your body in the opposite direction of the raised arm until you experience a stretch in your biceps. Hold 10 - 20 seconds. Do 3x.
