Now’s the time to get creative. If you have at least a little money, a second hand stationary bike or an inexpensive stepper could be very helpful.
When I was a struggling college student, I just got a couple of sturdy boxes and, viola! a Bench Stepper. Whatever it takes.
Here are some more ideas.
*Skip a rope Yep, just get a rope and make like a boxer in training. You probably cant jump long enough to make it aerobic but you can simply walk in place or around the room when too tired to continue jumping and go back to jumping when you catch your breath.
Do this for 20 - 25 minutes & it is like interval training.
*Jumping jacks
*Power yoga A vigorous, movement oriented yoga that increases fitness.
*Walk Just put on the tv or some music and walk, forward, to the side, backwards. You wont look cool but who cares, you’re home.
*Circuit training Put together a series of calisthenics & do them with no or little rest between sets. Go from push-ups to sit-ups to squats to brisk pacing to anything else & repeat for 20 - 30 minutes.
Regardless of what you do…
The best way to make weightloss exercise effective…
*Do it several times a week increasing sessions & duration as you are able to. A particularly effective strategy is to work up to 2 workouts a day. Better than one long workout. Why?
*Two work outs a day forces your body to be ever at the ready to burn fat & lose weight. Try to separate the sessions by at least 8 - 10 hours.
*Also, if possible, do two different exercises. Fell free to take a day off per week but since sessions are moderate and you are eager, why would you want to?
*To repeat, make sure you are drinking 8 - 12 glasses of water per day & not taking work outs to give you license to eat anything, anytime. Wont work.
Stay motivated on your weightloss exercise program
*I do so by keeping log books showing weight loss, improvement on the track or the stationary bike. You will have built in goals to strive for.
*Get a partner. You must know someone who could use a kick in the butt.
*Make a bet and win. Whatever it takes that will keep you focused and striving on you at home exercise weight loss.
