Why do you snore? Snoring comes from a narrowing of your airway.

Snoring can result from:

*soft tissues (probably fat) in your throat.

*headaches throughout the day (due to poor quality sleep and poor airflow through trachea)

*swollen legs and arms (due to lack of oxygen flow)

*an overall weakened immune system

*hearing loss (if snoring is very loud; remember, snoring can be as loud as a passing jet!)

Exercise to stop snoring

Stop snoring exercises include aerobics *Lose weight. Any exercise to stop snoring should consider whether fat around the neck is leading to the snoring.

Unfortunately, you can’t reduce fat on only one part of your body so, if you are overweight, you should try and reach your ideal weight.

Ten stop snoring exercise program

1. Move your lower and upper molars together, very gently. Open your mouth while pressing your molars as far apart as you can without doing any stretching. Do this exercise for 3 - 5 minutes, focusing on your molars, keep bringing them together and the lowering your jaw. When you get half way through your set, you will notice that the back of your mouth opening up more.

2. Stretch your tongue out as far as possible. Don’t over-do it while trying to keep it straight. Then move it all the way to the right side and then over to the left side of your mouth. Try to touch your nose with your tongue & your chin. You are not expected to be able to touch your nose or chin with your tongue. Do 10 - 20 reps.

4) Strengthen your facial muscles by resisting with your tongue. Push a spoon against your tongue. Let your tongue win and lose this pushing contest. Do for 1 - 2 minutes.

5)Pucker up: Pucker up to blow a big kiss. Hold position for five seconds. Relax. Do 5x.

6)Say Cheese: Do an exaggerated smile. Hold for 5 seconds. Relax. Do 5x. Some good testimonials for this exercise to stop snoring.

stop snoring exercise program 7)Open Wide: Slowly open your mouth as big as you can then close, making sure your lips meet. Repeat 5x.

8)Take a Sip: Purse your lips as if you're going to take a sip from a straw & press lips together very hard. Do for 5 seconds. Repeat five times.

9)Take a pencil and hold it between the teeth for up to 5 minutes. Grip should be firm but not painful.

10)Take your finger and gently press against your chin for a few minutes (no more than 3). A very good exercise to stop snoring.
