Using exercise bands for abs
Using exercise bands for abs is a terrific idea as such bands allow several different movements and added challenges to ab movements. Links to our other pages on abdominal exercises follow immediately below. Links are followed by pics & descriptions to exercises.

Note that the following exercises require the exercise band be secured to a doorway or similar. The system that we feature (Bodylastics) comes with such an anchor tool. Number of sets and reps and resistance level depends on your level of fitness. Start low and progress gradually. Generally, do between 1 - 3 sets, 5 - 15 reps.
1) In this exercise, sit up straight either on stability ball or char. Your hands are tight to your chest. Then simply crunch down until your hands are touching the top of your thighs
2) This exercise is done on your knees though a low chair might do. Face the door. Hold your hands near forehead and crunch down. During crunch, your elbows should be moving towards thighs
3) Like exercise # 2 but here your elbows move towards your knees.
4) Great for side abs. Keep your chest up. With your elbows only slightly bent pull across and down until your hands are near your outer thigh
5) Another great exercise for side abs. Your back is straight, head straight. Take a wide stance. Now, with your arm straight approximately two feet out from your hip, bend to the side, from your waist, away from the resistanceClick here for page 2 of using exercise bands for abdominals
